Until mid-December, I'll be studying Spanish and traveling around in Central America. My girlfriend Isolde and I quit our journalist jobs in Western Washington to have this little adventure. It should be quite the time; hopefully you'll enjoy the read.

Photos, Nica and otra cosas

We´ve arrived in Nicaragua! A bit later than expected.

Things seem to go that way here. Which is just great.

In that spirit, I´m slowly adding photos to this blog, backfilling over the old entries.

But for now, I offer you this handful of shots from our last days in Xela.

Hope you find them entertaining.

Here you have Xela´s two face building. We think it has two owners, one of whom lacks the wherewithall to fix his half.

Here you have me riding in the back of a truck. Sporting aren´t I.

So, we visited the beach. Fun times. That guy´s name is Wright. He liked to drink in the sun. We were friends.

On our second to last night in Xela, we went for drinks with other students from our school. This, by the way, is a store with a plastic table. Good, classy times.

Isolde and I at sunset on the roof of our school.

Ché lives. Isolde found him. Tell Dick.

Appologies for the inside joke. I assure you it´s not funny enough to explain

Me, hoping you enjoyed my photos.

that last photo is of levi's let-loose dance face. the night got started when a charming new yorker named luciano decided that levi needed to unbutton his shirt a little more and reveal his massive amount of chest hair. he said men can't have that good a time with their shirts buttoned up so high. well, levi had such a good time that he was still buying cube libres when the lights got turned on.

You were supposed to come back to MV for the taping of the secular humanist's Christmas Dinner video!
I finally found a use for the humorously deceptive ridicule-the older-G faux avant-garde photography 3x5s. Its getting colder here, my woodstove firerstarter had timed-out and.......
